Pant, who returned to competitive cricket in the IPL after a severe road accident in December 2022, led Delhi Capitals to a sixth-place finish with 446 runs in 13 matches, making him the team's top scorer. He was also a key figure in India’s ICC T20 World Cup-winning team, finishing as the third-highest run-scorer for India and setting a record for the most dismissals by a wicketkeeper in a single T20 World Cup edition.

As the Bangladesh Test series approaches on September 19, fans are keen to see Pant's red-ball performance in the Duleep Trophy, where he will represent India B. Known for his match-winning abilities in Tests, Pant has scored 2,271 runs in 33 Tests since 2018, with five centuries and 11 fifties.
