Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant is gearing up for his red-ball return in the upcoming Duleep Trophy, starting September 5. Pant shared an Instagram video showcasing his training, including stylish drives, lofted shots, and reverse sweeps. In his caption, he emphasized his commitment to hard work and continuous learning.

Pant, who returned to competitive cricket in the IPL after a severe road accident in December 2022, led Delhi Capitals to a sixth-place finish with 446 runs in 13 matches, making him the team's top scorer. He was also a key figure in India’s ICC T20 World Cup-winning team, finishing as the third-highest run-scorer for India and setting a record for the most dismissals by a wicketkeeper in a single T20 World Cup edition.

As the Bangladesh Test series approaches on September 19, fans are keen to see Pant's red-ball performance in the Duleep Trophy, where he will represent India B. Known for his match-winning abilities in Tests, Pant has scored 2,271 runs in 33 Tests since 2018, with five centuries and 11 fifties. Fans are particularly excited to see him play in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia, where he has a strong track record.

The squads for the Duleep Trophy first round include notable players like Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, and Mayank Agarwal for India A, and Abhimanyu Easwaran, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Sarfaraz Khan for India B, with Pant as the wicketkeeper. India C and D squads also feature prominent players like Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shreyas Iyer, and Ishan Kishan.
